Sunday funday doorknocking and speaking to locals ๐ช
Thank you to all the volunteers who have been out and about in the community with me this week ๐ฅ
I bumped into local Firefighter Michael whilst doorknocking today.

Up bright and early talking to Lisarow residents this morning.
Calling tonight to hear from The Entrance.

Mingara Recreation Club the old track has gone. I canโt wait for the new track to go down!
Hello Bateau Bay! What a lovely day for doorknocking! And thank you for your help Erika!
Volunteers were out in force this morning handing out at Tuggerah Station.
Great start to the year at Gosford Greyhounds with the running of the Woy Woy Poultry gold cup!
Todayโs weather may have been extremely warm โ๏ธ but it had nothing on the welcome in Ourimbah ๐
Star ๐ team out today helping me doorknock.
Residents agree with NSW Laborโs policy to invest in hospitals, health care and health workers instead of splurging $2.2 billion on rebuilding perfectly good stadiums in Sydney. โ in Long Jetty, New South Wales, Australia.
Parents at Killarney Vale Public School are thrilled with NSW Laborโs policies to:
โ๏ธ Delivering air-conditioning in every classroom in NSW public schools;
๐ต Providing $5,000 to every P&C in NSW public schools to help over-stretched school budgets;
๐ Free public transport for school age kids.
Thank you Emma McBride MP, Federal Member for Dobell for joining me in saying hello ๐๐ป to parents.
Hello Narara! What a lovely day for doorknocking.
This morning I announced that I would work with Council and our community to make sure Rocket Park and other parks in The Entrance would be protected from removal.
I am concerned that some parks, like Rocket Park, may be removed without replacement under a consolidation by Central Coast Council.
A lot of our local parks need repair or alterations but I will not support simply removing local park equipment without replacement.
If you believe we should protect local icons like Rocket Park please sign my petition here

Yesterday, I met with Central Coast Council regarding the status of dredging The Entrance Channel.
Council informed me that dredging had been stopped by the State Liberal Government's EPA with no advice as to when it will resume.
I have written to the Environment Minister asking her to urgently recommence dredging.
The NSW Liberal Government have decimated
TAFE NSW with their ruthless cuts ๐

Only a NSW Labor Government will restore TAFE to its rightful place as the premier provider of vocational education and training by making TAFE free for critical industries ๐๐ป โ with Yasmin Catley MP, David Harris MP, Liesl Tesch MP and Jeff Sundstrom.
Today I was honoured to speak at the commemorative ceremony for National Servicemenโs Day with Emma McBride MP, Federal Member for Dobell. Thank you to 25ACU for mounting the catafalque party. Two hundred and twelve NASHOs died on active service and many suffered illness and injury as a result of their service.
Honoured to attend the biennial conference dinner of the Electrical Trades Union tonight. ETU members keep the power on for my community and they are a fine Union. Thanks for the invite!
Two nurses at ourimbah discussing nurse to patient ratios. Hot topic on this hot day ๐ฅ.
This heat wonโt stop me from getting out and talking to locals.
Hot weather and warm reception around the electorate today.
Locals think itโs crazy that the Liberals are giving $2 billion to Sydney Stadiums instead of investing in our schools.
#wrongliberalpriorities
Great to be out talking to locals.
Another day, another fantastic doorknock.
Locals are loving the David Mehan MP fridge magnets and NSW Laborโs positive policies for NSW. โ in Long Jetty, New South Wales, Australia.
A pleasure to present a State flag to our PCYC at Bateau Bay this afternoon and catch up with staff. Thereโs a bunch of activities on offer this school holidays so why not take a look?
Is there a more beautiful sight than watching the sun rise at Tuggerah Station? Watching it from a new lift perhaps?
I joined Central Coast Labor colleagues today Liesl Tesch MP, David Harris MP and Jeff Sundstrom Labor Candidate for Terrigal to recognise the importance of music education services and performances provided by regional music conservatoriums.
A Daley Labor Government will establish a $40 million Regional Conservatorium fund to support and expand the outstanding work they are already doing.
Nurses and midwives do extraordinary work but are under sever pressure.
I joined my Central Coast Labor colleagues and local nurses today to reaffirm that a NSW Labor Government will deliver hundreds more nurses in regional NSW through new nurse-to-patient ratios.
Itโs shameful that the Government allows hospitals to be understaffed while pouring $2.2 billion of dollars into rebuilding Sydney stadiums.
Hello Ourimbah, what a lovely day for doorknocking!
Great doorknock in the North Entrance this morning. Thank you to the volunteers who came out and gave a hand.
Locals agree, NSW deserves better than the disastrous NSW Liberal Government. They want to see proper investment in schools and hospitals instead of a $2.2 billion splurge on Sydney Stadiums.
Great afternoon doorknock back in the North Entrance.
Thank you Terrigal Trotters for a fine start to my #Australia Day before official duties commence ๐๐โโ๏ธ
It was great to join Liesl Tesch MP in talking to Narara residents this morning. Unfortunately a number of trains were late. Labor has promised to refund fares where service is over 30min late.
Last night I met with Kangy Angy residents to discuss the project and its impact on their homes.
Perfect weather for doorknocking!
Only Labor will put schools and hospitals before the $2.2 billion rebuilding Sydney stadiums.
Get ready Long Jetty weโll be knocking on your door soon!
This morning I spoke with Brandon, an Ourimbah local who travels to Hornsby every day for work ๐
Under a Daley Labor Government, we will refund ๐ต Brandonโs ticket price if his train is delayed by more than 30 minutes โฐ
I believe we should compensate you if our train network lets you down because more time on a delayed train means less time at home ๐ with your family.
Thanks Michael Daley MP, NSW Labor Opposition Leader for coming to the Coast today for this fantastic announcement ๐ฅ
Only Labor will actually deliver the much needed upgrades to stations on the Central Coast ๐ช
Weโll allocate $100 million to install lifts & commuter ๐ park at Tuggerah ๐ , as well as lifts at Ourimbah, Lisarow, Niagara Park & Narara station.
Wow! What another fantastic day to be your local Member! I had a great time with Liesl Tesch MP & Emma McBride MP, helping locals take advantage of our new disability access at Toowoon Bay Beach.
Thanks to Michael Palmer, Ability Links NSW and Toowoon Bay Beach SLSC for organising such a fantastic event!
It was fantastic to have former NSW Labor Premier, Bob Carr on the Central Coast ๐ช
Bob spoke about how this election will decide whether we invest into ๐ซ and ๐ฅ under a NSW Labor Government, or $2.2 billion in Sydney Stadiums ๐
โโ๏ธ๐
Dropped in on the dedicated crew of Berkeley Vale Rural Fire Brigade this morning. The station looks great following the rebuild after the 2015 storm and able to resist another. Community Building Partnership funding via my office assisted with the rebuild. Craig and the crew do a great job. Keep up the good work!
Mick Veitch MLC and I today have committed $15,000 to The Entrance War Memorial cenotaph for essential repairs ๐๐ป
The Berejiklian Government would rather spend $2.2 billion to rebuild perfectly good Sydney Stadiums. Itโs a disgrace ๐
