START OF WORK AT TUMBI RD ROUNDABOUT – CENTRAL COAST HWY

Member for The Entrance, David Mehan, has welcomed the start of works on the Central Coast Highway upgrade with clearing to allow for road widening and installation of traffic lights at the existing Tumbi Road roundabout.
The works will cost $64million and are jointly funded by the commonwealth and state governments.
Mr Mehan noted he continues to be concerned that the road design has not included protections and crossings for local wildlife.
“I welcome the commencement of these works but will continue to push Transport for NSW to ensure the road upgrade includes protections and crossing for local wildlife,” said Mr Mehan.
