LABOR: NEW $1.1B PACKAGE TO IMPROVE NEW SOUTH WALES ROADS

March 3, 2023

An elected Minns Labor Government will deliver a major new  $1.1 billion package of road capital upgrades over the next 3 years, bringing new and improved roads across Sydney and Regional NSW.

As a part of this package, Labor will commit to:

$75 million for Bandon Road, Riverstone, on top of the Federal Government’s $75 million to complete the planning and commence the early works on this vital road and flood evacuation route;
$50 million to fix Hill Road in Homebush; and
$10 million towards additional entry and exit ramps on the M1 Princes Motorway, around Dapto.
NSW Labor has a comprehensive plan to deliver the critical infrastructure that New South Wales desperately deserves.

A Minns Labor Government will invest in road repair urgently needed across our regions after more than a decade of poor maintenance, compounded by floods and bushfires.

NSW Labor will create a new, two year Emergency Road Repair Fund - a $670 million fund over the next two years to ensure that the roads people rely on every single day across Regional NSW are up to scratch.

Labor will provide an additional investment of $390 million over the next two years, and continue the existing $280 million regional pothole program, to ensure there is enough funding available to start the vital work of repairing our regional roads.
